Director's Welcoming Statement

I am certainly blissful to be associated with Goshen Schools; which are, Goshen Sacred Primary School, Goshen Boys High School and now introducing CBC Junior Secondary School, Goshen Sacred Junior Secondary School.

Our schools are making tremendous progress towards being the most preferred primary, girls and boys schools in our nation, through academics and co-curricular activities in a holistic environment. It prides me to lead such an institution where the staff, students and stakeholders are putting enormous efforts in enhancing the achievement of our institutions goals, in tandem with their vision, mission, core values and motto.

All learners have immense potential; all they need is mentoring, monitoring and motivation to unleash it. Therefore as a school management and all, we are up to this task. The development of this website is a stepping stone in the fulfilment of this dream to keep you abreast with the progress of our beloved schools, and to make you part of the Goshen Schools path to greatness. As I always quip. ’Tunaenda mbali, Bwana Asifiwe’ - we are destined for greatness, To God be the glory.

Finally, to those who open this website, I say welcome!

Chairman's Welcoming Statement

Dear Viewer,

I warmly welcome you to Goshen Schools Nakuru. As a group of schools, we attain our name, inspiration and direction from Exodus 1:7 which states as follows, "the people of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly; they multiplied and grew exceedingly strong, so that the land was filled with them". Therefore, Goshen biblically simply means a place of multiplication, peace and tranquillity. In the Hebrew language, it means drawing near.

As you are aware, the society has been faced with profound wickedness that is against the common good of our sons and daughters. This ills affects their scholarly life leading to school drop outs, unwanted pregnancies, drugs and substance abuse. As a father and a servant of God, I took it as a calling to minister the gospel to the young people within our neighbouring high schools, guiding and counselling them with an aim of salvaging them, as they were slowly getting lost. Understanding that education is the most powerful weapon one can use to survive in the current millennium, I prayed to God through which he revealed to me of a school that would bring families together, offering quality education, in a holistic God fearing and student friendly environment. There was need to protect them, Exodus 8:22 says Goshen was a place under God’s protection, exempt from the plagues of Egypt.

The school opened its doors in 1999 and was built on a piece of land known for producing quality crops(maize, beans and potatoes) which are commonly grown staple food in Bahati Constituency. Owing to the lands past record on quality yields, we prayed that the same to be replicated in our children’s education. Despite its humble begging, the then pioneering and mixed Goshen Academy gained a well-deserved reputation as one of the leading secondary schools in Nakuru North sub-county, competing with numerous and well known nationals, regional, county, private and extra –county schools. In 2003, our first boy and girl made it to Kenyatta and Egerton Universities. Successively, we have done well and the alumni have found placement in reputable public and private universities.

The multiplication and prosperity as our name defines us never ceased, in 2013 the newly and neatly structured Goshen Sacred Girls High School begun, with all the form 2 girls being separated from the boys. Goshen Academy remained purely for the boys, now known as Goshen Boys High School. Due to the immense pressure from parents and stakeholders to begin the primary section, Goshen Sacred Primary School was incepted in 2019.The school has tremendously grown from offering the lowest Pre-primary education (PP1 & PP2), lower primary (grade 1 to grade 3), upper primary (grade7 to grade9) and sooner an upcoming senior secondary (grade 10 to 12) to be offered in our secondary section.

The warm relationship between our school community members that includes leaners, staff and parents is paramount. This brings all players together making Goshen a true family, addressing all would be challenges. An instance is the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, learning continued despite the long break as the students, parents and teachers came together through an online learning platform developed by Goshen Schools IT department known as Masomo Online learning Platform.

The parents and guardians who have chosen to let us shape their children, academically, morally, emotionally and spiritually are always happy; no wonder they always give referrals to other parents, even after their children complete their studies. The students too are appreciative of the transformation they have had in their lives; they are always the best wherever they go. Goshen has produced noble and reputable people in our society and nation entrust us with your sons and daughters, you will not have to cry over tomorrow.

May the almighty God bess you all abundantly.
